Hey! Sorry that this has happened to you, but good thing now you have gained more knowledge 💗
I just watched Dr. Shereene Idriss Instagram story, she said to ditch everything else for a while and use only sunscreen and Vaseline.
🔆 But based on the products you listed, I say stick to a cleanser of your choice along with the Cicaplast and your sunscreen.
Because the Cicaplast contains a high amount of Panthenol that promotes healing while moisturizing your skin.
Wishing you a fast healing process and a glowing skin!

Hey girls! We're sharing the same problem. I have breakout on my face in the middle of January. It's really frustasing since i never get a breakout on my skin - and i still have it until now but thankfully it's not that bad)
When I've got a breakout, I don't know what should I do. So I'm starting with using a calming product that contains Centella Asiatica and Heartleaf extract to repair my skin barrier. You can use Snail Mucin or Azulene as well. At first, it burn out my skin although I'm using it in a tiny amount. But after a week, it slowly started to heal.
Tbh, the cica and heartleaf can't help to treat your breakout. It just help you to calm and soothe your irritation skin, so your skin will not dry and getting worse. But, my friend suggest me to try out her spot treatment and it's totally change my life. I'm using a clindamycin gel called Tidact for a month and it's really help to treat my breakout. After two weeks using it, I found out my acne has shrunk but it left a scar.
Now, I'm trying the last step on my treatment to use Vitamin C. it's to help fade away your acne scars. 😉 it's a long journey but trust me, it's really satisfying!
I just want to advice you not to use any exfoliating ingredients such as AHA, BHA or PHA. It can make your damaged skin become worse and sensitive. That's all from me. I'm sorry for my bad English but I hope it'll help you 😁

I have been there so I know a lot about barrier care at this point. Your routine looks good but yes you should stop using the PC BHA. I used that for a while, it’s pretty strong and pretty drying, since it’s drying it can trigger your skin to produce more oil which increases the chances your pores will get clogged. stop exfoliants for a few days so your skin can recover and then use a gentle hydrating BHA. Benton makes a great one which contains aloe, beta glucan and polyglutamic acid to help retain moisture in the skin. Use a spot treatment for the worst pimples instead of a harsh BHA all over your whole face. The paulas choice BHA9 is strong but surprisingly gentle it is the best spot treatment I have ever used, it’s expensive but the bottle lasts a long time.

if you are suffering from damaged skin barrier, you should stop all the active ingredients products and just stick to using products with ingredients in healing your skin barrier!
Cica, ceramide, niacinamide should help in healing.
