Dry lips

Hi! I don’t know why these days my lips is dry and a bit painful, especially at the corner of my lips. I always use lip balm day and night, but still experience dry lips. Is there any lip care for dry lips that are really, really work? 😞

I apply lip balm on damp lips, I find that it this way it retains moisture much better than applying it on dry lips. I also apply an occlusive on top and a lot of occlusive at night, the one I use is basic Vaseline.

I also suffer from chronic dry lips, I find it helpful to just spread whatever hydrating skincare I use on my face to my lips. Like toners, essence, serum, moisturizer etc.

I don't have ulcer, but i think it's like cold sores. I used to experience cold sore 3 years ago at the corner of my right lips, so currently I'm experiencing painful at the corner of my right lips as well. Oh no?!? Is it a sign of cold sores? 😭
