I prefer my products to have no fragrance at all. In the same breath I’m not totally against fragrance. If a product contains fragrance, I’d hope that it is as little as possible and not overpowering.
I agree with you where you say “As long as the fragrances added is very little…and they will not sensitise my skin.”
As well as the part where you say it helps you persist with your routine. I think it adds to the experience of enjoying & completing your routine.
Also, I came across this if you’d like to read it. I found the post insightful👇🏽

yes totally agree with this dermatology. We should avoid it if it is not suitable for us, but do not treat it like an evil 😎

Similar thoughts here! I am usually okay with fragrance included in the product, so long as:
• The product's entire formulation works well for me and does benefit my skin
• The product does not irritate my skin
• The scent is something I actually like/enjoy
• The scent is not too overpowering
• The product is still reasonably affordable, and not overpriced simply because it contains a unique or 'secret' fragrance
• Product benefits outweigh the cons of potential sensitivities of fragrance (such as in a holy grail sunscreen)
Fragrance in skincare is really a controversial one! I agree that fragrance can help people relax and enjoy their skincare, so it does provide some benefits if it makes them happy emotionally.
However, some people would totally disagree with me and say fragrance may cause damage/sensitivity to the skin in the long run... and I can't provide an answer to whether that is true or not as I'm not an expert nor do I know of scientific studies for/against fragrance in skincare.
Overall I think since there's a risk of sensitivity, I would prefer unscented options unless the fragranced product is really irreplaceable for me.

Yes, like what others have mentioned always patch test and if it works well, a good fragrance can help you enjoy the product 😊

I would say it’s not as bad as people are making it out to be. Hey sometimes we just need a little aromatherapy. Of course, avoid it if your skin can’t tolerate it. (my skin can’t tolerate a lot of fragrance so I’m more aware)
But I absolutely despise it when a product is marketed for sensitive skin and contains a bunch of essential oils or fragrance.. what’s the point of the product then??

I am a strong believer in the fact that both sides, can be good, depending on the person, due to the fact that everyone's skin can tolerate different ingredients better then others. I totally see both sides of the spectrum.
I personally have both options readily available in my skincare routine, I have non-fragranced items for my skin when it's having it's sensitive, acne moments as I have found from trial and error my skin is more sensitive to fragrance during these times, specifically lavendar, and your more citrus fragrances, natural or artificial.
But I'm also a sucker for an indulging scent! As long as it has been formulated into the product in a way that it isn't overpowering, and it still let's the good ingredients shine through, and isn't one of the select fragrances that my skin doesn't tolerate well.
