I’m absolutely in love with japanise sunscreen. I actually don’t mind alcohol in sunscreen and quite a few of my korean sunscreens have it as well. I don’t find it to be irritating to my skin and if you have a nice moisturizer underneath i think a lot of people can go around the “drying” effect even if they have dry skin, although that is more of an assumption since i am oily so not the one that’s most concerned with alcohol’s drying tendencies. I do like the japanise sunscreens’ formulation very much and really enjoy the feeling of them on my skin and how quickly they sink into the skin. I find it particularly useful when i’m out and have to reapply sunscreen on the run, because i know a sunscreen with alcohol will not be difficult to work into the skin and most likely won’t leave any smudges🥰

Before Korean sunscreens, these are my go bunch for cosmetically elegant ones that perform well under makeup. But sadly with age, my skin now finds them too drying

I used to be afraid with alcohols in skincare. But after watching so many videos and reading studies about them, I don't mind it at all. As long as not all of your skincare products has it. Also, look a product with its whole formulation and not on a single ingredients

I’ve used the Biore UV one and that one also has a lot of alcohol, but I also didn’t find it irritating or drying at all! It’s so impressive that it actually moisturizes my skin and leaves it looking dewy. I guess alcohol really does have a place in Japanese sunscreens.

Most Japanese sunscreens and skincare in general are really great! Most of the times they use Denatured Alcohol as a delivery agent in sunscreens so I don't really see a big problem in that. I do think there are much better alternatives to denatured alcohol but that's just my opinion. If it doesn't irritate your skin, you can go ahead and use them. I do like most Japanese sunscreens since they don't leave a white cast! ❤️
