Tretinoin vs differin

Tretinoin or differin? I know you need a prescription for tretinoin but I just wanted to know your guys opinion on both and which one you prefer.

if u want something more gentle and ur main concern is acne, go for different. if u want an overall stronger retinoid (which may also be more irritating), and ur main concern is anti aging, go for tretinoin.

Recently tetrinoin has been my go to rather than differin cause I had some breakouts that were more than my usual, I find that my skin just likes it better but I still do use differin when I need a little less punch on my spot treatments 😊

dr dray has an amazing video on YouTube about this, just search for “differin vs tretinoin dr dray” but basically if you have a lot of acne concerns and don’t want to spend the money on an in person or online derm might as well try adapalene! (I use curology it’s $20/month for my tret and unlimited messages to my derm) but if you want to address things like pronounced skin texture, large pore appearance, skin elasticity & firmness, wrinkles, tretinoin is able to do more than adapalene. most derms prescribe tretinoin regardless. hope this helps!
