i used to LOVE exfoliating when i first started using BHA and AHA. it was all scheduled and i would look forward to using the acids. that was until my skin started resisting. my skin barrier would get sooo damaged and irritated. that was when i started to exfoliate less often. right now, i don’t schedule them. i only use them when i feel like i need to and that my skin can tolerate it.

Me too, in the past my skincare was mostly for exfoliating and I ignored hydrating products! ️ My mask, toner, serum are all for exfoliating and I'm still using peeling. I also skip moisturizer and sunscreen because I haven't found the right one yet. I feel that over time my skin is often problematic and very thin! I still regret it and feel really stupid ️ but now I've changed my skincare and focus on hydrating and maintaining the skin barrier.
