Do you notice it flare up after certain products/ingredients? I would try to check if there is something that can cause this reaction - in terms of skincare products as well as what you eat or where you are (temperature, wearing masks etc.).
Products you could use are the ones without fragrance, essential oils and drying alcohols. What you should look for are ceramides, fatty acids and cholesterol. Also, you can put vaseline/petrolatum on top of your moisturizer to prevent further dryness π₯°

Perioral dermatitis is extremely finicky. It is like a hybrid between ance and ezema. The seal that vaseline create suffocates the bumps and causes further irritation.
I had perioral dermatitis for years and only recently healed it. So I have done lots of research and expirementing.
Im not saying vaseline is bad overall. It just is not good for this issue.

Hey!
I have this problem too. You really need to let the skin heal. It was hard but I stopped putting ANYTHING on the area while it was flared up.
There are some great videos on youtube to how to heal this problem.
The only thing I put on it is zinc. I put zincofax on the area. It is extremelt soothing and the only thing that helped.
Once the area is the area is healed you can return to normal skincare routine but be aware of what products cause flare up and discontinue use.
Things to avoid:
Sodium laureth sulfate
Floride ( switch to floride free tooth paste)
Mineral oil
Steroid creams
I have tagged some products I use for when my flare up are over too. Niacinamide is great as it reduces slin sensitivity.
Of course, if you are able I strongly recommend seeing a dermatologist. Perioral dermatitis can be really fincky.
Hope this helps! πππ

In a case for very bad reaction to might need a steroid presription to calm down your skin.
To recover your skin barrier, super gentle cleanser and moisturizer and nothing else.
