Where should I start with retinol?

Hey everyone, I hope you’re good! I’m 20 years old and I have dry skin. I also have dermatitis (it’s mostly around my lips). Does anyone have any suggestions about retinol? I’ve been interested in starting it for a while now and I wanted to hear some opinions first🥰 I’ll tag the products I read about, maybe some of you used it. Thank you!

I started using it when I turned 30 but not sure 🤷🏻‍♀️ when you do just make sure you keep it hydrated 👌🏼🧡

I have been using The Ordinary retinol 0.2% in squalane and my skin is very happy with it 😊 When I finish it I will get the 0.5% since my skin seems to tolerate it quite well.
