How long do you give a skincare product to work?

As an esthetician I get kind of frustrated when I hear people say "I tried it for almost a month and saw nothing" or "I give a product a month and if doesn't work I throw it in the gatbage" Skincare products need time to work. They literally need 4 to 6 weeks in order for you to start seeing real results. Your skin needs this time for proper cell turnover to take place. Patience is key! Any good product needs time and so does your skin. So I ask you honestly. How long do you try a product before giving up because you aren't seeing results?

I never throw away non-empty products unless they irritate my skin or are expired. I always use it all, but I usually decide if I want to repurchase earlier than that based on the application, feeling afterwards, smell and other factors 🙂 How I feel when using it is just as important as if it works or not.
