BHA and PHA acids

PHA acids are polyhydric acids. They are similar to AHA acids and are essentially their version with larger molecules. PHA is ideal for the care of sensitive skin. They act gently and slowly on the surface of the skin. Polyhydroacids include gluconolactonic and lactobionic acids, and, in addition to a mild effect, they have another, very interesting function. PHA acids enhance the functions of the skin's barrier layer and have an antioxidant effect that increases the skin's resistance to various adverse effects. It is recommended to use them in the form of serums and peels. BHA acids are beta hydroxy acids. They differ from AHAs in that they are soluble in fat, not water. For this reason, BHA acids are able not only to exfoliate dead cells, but also to penetrate deeper into the pores to clean them of impurities. Most often you find BHA in the form of salicylic acid. BHA-acid can reduce sebum production, dissolve blackheads and help treat acne. It also has antibacterial action. You can find salicylic acid in any skin care product. But remember that BHA can dry out the skin due to overuse
