The Ordinary’s retinol in squalane is a great one to start with! It’s something you build a tolerance for over time, so starting with the lowest percentage possible is ideal - plus minimal to no irritation that way 🎉 One of my holy grails for sure!

If you have oily skin or acne prone, I honestly wouldn't recommend to use this one. I started using the lower percentage, thinking it was great then move up to 1% at 3 months after it, and it always broke me up.. Then, I decided to stop it and switch to another brand, my skin got better.. Definitely not recommend TO Retinol; at least my experience. You should done more research about it and find other products in case this won't work for you..

Have a look at a well formulated retinal product. A step up from retinol.
Its abit pricey but so worth it
Medik8 is what I recommend. They have a scale for newbies up to advance level retinal for when your ready to scale up. you can also have a consultation with them so they can assist in choosing for you and they also provide tips on how to use them best

ive been using this cerave product which uses encapsulated retinol! its my first time using retinol and i have had a pretty great experience so far. uglyducklingskincare on instagram has a post that explains the different types of retinol but encapsulated is much gentler to my understanding.
