you could try something with niacinimide in it? it helps with acne prone skin & controlling excess oil/sebum buildup. I have very sensitive skin but I use this some by mi serum every night and it’s made a huge difference to my skin and preventing breakouts/oiliness 👌🏼🧡 (I also use the cosrx SA cleanser which is super gentle and great for cleaning pores but I understand you’re maybe avoiding acids for now)

Perhaps you could try products with PHA. It's supposed to be even more gentle than AHA

I hear ya! Gotta love hormonal acne! My dermatologist recommended La Roche Posay's Effaclar line. When I'm breaking out or just prior, I use these products and find they work great! Hang in there...it will get better! 🙂💗

are you eating healthy? try to reduce processed food and sleep well. this is what I use https://youtu.be/p_tdV-eFoEg . hormonal acne is just hard and many people opt for birth control but it will come back once you are out of it.
