for oily/acne prone skin: Do we/you need clay mask?

Soooo, I'm debating with myself if I buy clay mask. I've used clay masks before but they're not working. But I want to give it another go. So here's my current products and I'm planning to use Isntree Real Mugwort Clay mask.. Have you tried Isntree Real Mugwort Clay Mask? How was it? And idk if it will works well and also, do I use an exfoliating toner after clask mask?

Clay masks are great for removing excess sebum, when used regularly 1-2x a week, they can help maintain oil production. Are you not noticing that with the masks you've tried? Don't use exfoliation after, just hydrate and moisturise lots afterwards as some clay masks can be really drying. I'm currently using Inkey list, it's gentle, not too drying and helps me maintain my oil production.

what clay mask were you using previously? I've been using the isntree one and it works very well without being irritating! as for the exfoliating toner after clay mask, I wouldn't recommend it as it might cause irritation. but if your skin is fine just go ahead but be careful!

What do you mean by not working? I'm wondering what kind of effects are you expecting to see from using a clay mask? πŸ€” Your skin should feel clean, soft and temporarily brightened after clay masking as it sucks out all the sebum and gunk from the skin and some even mildly exfoliates. Oily skin benefits best from using clay masks and usually will be able to see an immediate difference/effect after washing it off.
