Picky has always been like that. There is only the reply button on the initial comment. If you want to reply to a sub-comment, you have to click reply on the original comment and it will show up under that comment.

As long as I remember it has been that way all along, to reply we always have to use the one from the person who commented first but later our comment will appear just below the person we're commenting on.

But how about when we wanted to reply to the sub-comment's user instead of the original comment's user?

That's like so weird, it can only reply to the original comment and not the comments beneath it
