age to begin retinol

what is the age to start using retinol? I've heard people say 25 but does it matter?

after the age of 20 your skin will produce less collagen (which is the elasticity in your skin) i would recommend to start then. However, if you have acne and you are in your teens. Use it, retinol was originally found to treat acne. so any age can benefit from it

im not an expert but i heard that you should start using retinols at mid 20’s or early 30’s. im on my 36 years and just started using retinol serums, for the past few months i can tell that there’s been improvement on my skin compared before. it really helps with my skin texture and brightens it as well 😊 for me this is actually one of the best active ingredient
