be careful with ascorbic acid 20%, they can hurt your skin. I think for the beginner user, you can use dear klairs freshly juiced vitamin drop. This serum has 5% vitamin c or you can search other vitamin c serum with low percentage. Just make sure, your skin can adjust the active ingredient

I am gonna vote for vitamin C in lower percentage since 20% as stated by other @LearnToSkincare it may cause irritation. The reason for my vote is because vitamin C is a great antioxidant aside from being a brightening agent. And antioxidant plays a crucial role in anti-aging. Of course, tranexamic acid is an excellent ingredient for hyperpigmentation, and researches also found that it can lighten the skin tone in general. It is said to perform slightly better than vitamin C. Just that for me, vitamin C is a 2 in 1.

I would choose the tranexamic acid product. It is more stable than vitamin C and more gentle on the skin.

I suggest beginning with vitamin C serum. It will reinforce the sun protection you receive from your 🔆 sunscreen!
I introduced vitamin C to my 🌄 AM routine with this serum. Here's my experience ⬇️
