The best ingredients for cystic acne would be Benzoyl Peroxide, Ttea Tree Oil, and Azelaic Acid

Thanks for replying! Ok so when using Tea Tree oil how would you apply? Dilute and cotton ball? Straight on with q-tip?

What has helped me the most was azelaic acid. There are several options over the counter at different price points and percentages. I like to pair it up with soothing products containing green tea and centella. Putting ice (not directly) also helps to reduce redness and inflammation.

I love The Ordinary products! I haven’t tried Paula’s choice! I’ll have to get some Azelaic acid. Thank you so much!

So you need to dilute it and. can dilute it with olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, grape seed oil. You would do 12 drops of your carrier oil to every 2 drops of tea tree oil

@PickyyPhat many people don't like the Ordinary's formulation as it is silicone based. I personally don't mind but yes, it can pill sometimes. You cannot beat the price so I continue to buy it. Recently I have tried the PC Azelaic acid booster and I admit it has an elegant texture. The Isispharma is also nice but you cannot find it everywhere. There is also the prescription drug Skinoren which is 20% azelaic acid. It's too strong for me but it's effective. Dermatica also does 20% but I haven't tried it.
