Expiry dates for products without one

I know about PAO but what about products without an expiry date? I have products from Fresh and Ole Henrikson. Both do not have an expiry date, only the PAO. I usually keep track of all the expiry dates for my skincare products but most western brands don’t have one. How do you know when it will expire? Generally one year after buying it / manufacturing date? One reason why I love using K-beauty products is because they have the expiry dates. Easy to keep track 😬 ❣️❣️❣️UPDATES ❣️❣️❣️ Generally speaking, most UNOPENED products have a lifespan of up to 3 years unless mentioned otherwise. Been looking online for expiry dates using batch codes from the websites below. Not all brands can be found but common ones are available. I’ve also attached a table on general product shelf lifes before and after PAO for easy reference. I can’t remember where I saved it from so if it happens to be yours, let me know ☺️ https://m.checkcosmetic.net https://checkexp.com https://cosmetic.momoko.hk/en For Tata Harper products, it’s so awesome that you can search the manufacturing date from their website itself! Plus, they’ll even show you a picture of who packed your product! From FDA regarding American brands: There are no U.S. laws or regulations that require cosmetics to have specific shelf lives or have expiration dates on their labels. For European brands: Any cosmetic product that has a lifespan of less than 30 months must show a "Best before the end of" date. For products with a lifespan longer than 30 months, cosmetic products must show a "period after opening" time. Any products from legit brands will always have production/batch codes that can determine the expiry date. You can email the brand with your question & product INFO. There are also websites online, if you search something like “cosmetic batch code search” you’ll find multiple ways to determine the expiry. Unless you’re shopping second hand, shopping at places like winners/tj maxx/marshalls OR store products for 1-2 years ☠️ theres really no reason to worry. The expiry date is probably 2-3 years away from brands official retailers.

Most unopened products have a shelf life of 2-3 years from the date of production

Yea, as HayP mentioned. Most of the time there isn’t any manufacturing date.
