Layer as in apply my SPF in multiple smaller layers? I do do that. It just makes it easier to blend out. I typically wear SPF 50+ everyday. For reapplication I reapply with the same sunscreen I wore initially. I tend to only buy sunscreens, no sprays. Sometimes I will dabble with sunsticks and sun cushions.

I use spf only with chemical filters which are no need to reapply during the day if you are in the city. 1/2 teaspoon for face and neck

There's no such thing as layering sunscreen, it's not like SPF 20 + SPF 20 will give you SPF 40 - you can simply calculate it, since every sun agent has its own coverage of wavelengths + substances used in both can make other sunscreen lose or gain some properties. What do you mean total daily SPF? I use SPF50+, I try to reapply it every 2-3 hours but they don't sum up. Yes, or I apply lotion and then I reapply with cushion :) No, I use La Roche Posay spray but their spf lotion is the worst for me so I use other brands -sometimes from sister brands like Vichy but usually I use Korean cushions and lotions and then SPF mist from La Roche :)

I used to use essence, serum, ampouule, cream and then spf. My sunscreen used to pill all the time.. every sunacreen. I guess my skin couldn't absorb all those layers. Now I use an essence, a serum, an eye cream and then I layer 3 different sunscreens - they're all spf50. Thei apply a thin layer of the 3rd sunscreen it's tinted so it gives me a little color (I dont wear foundation). I know I dont put on a thick enough layer so when I layer 3 sunscreens, I'm getting my proper coverage (atleast zi hope I am). My sunscreens no longer pill. I don't wear foundation so I have no issues reapplying one sunacreen and then my tinted sunscreen which kind of acts like foundation.

All 3 of the sunscreens I am using are lotions.
