I also prefer using sun hats because I don't want to deal with greasy hair.

Depends on how I put my hair. If I have a hairstyle with hair parting, I put sunscreen there. If I have my hair in a high ponytail, no part of my scalp is visible so I don't use sunscreen. I try to use sunhats most of the time though.
Sunburn on the scalp is very very uncomfortable, and I don't want to ever have to deal with it again. 🙂 So if you have some part of your scalp exposed to the sun, I highly recommend using a sunscreen there 😉

i do apply hair sunscreen on my scalp if I will be outside for long and it do makes your hair look and feel greasy

I don't apply sun screen to my scalp because I don't want to make my hair greasy (it gets greasy really fast) but I did have a bad sunburn on my scalp last year and it hurted like hell. I try to remember to wear a sun hat these days.

Same here, I have naturally oily hair so I don't want more grease 😆. Never knew about scalp sunburns till now. They seem awful so definitely going to take more care in the future

No because it ends up peeling and looking like I have dandruff I have tried it before but it looks terrible it makes my hair look terrible
