Sensitive skin products that burn your skin?

Anybody else had this problem? I’ve been trying a couple of the “holy grails” for sensitive skin such as the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. My face has never been this irritated! After 3 uses, my face was a tomato and burning and itching. 2 weeks later, I’m still dealing with the consequences. Does anyone know may dupes that are actually for sensitive skin? This really helped with my eczema but then burnt every where else.

You may want to try something containing cica or centella. It is extremely calming and anti-inflammatory, and helps repair compromised skin barriers. The one by Dr. Jart is very recommended and comes in both a cream and a gel formula if oils are too heavy for you, but quite a few brands have cica and centella products that should help the situation. Altentatively, aloe products should also soothe and repair, though I don't find it as potent for those moments when my skin is extremely angry and compromised.

Choose products that don’t contain fragrance, alcohol or essential oils...check the ingredient list because products can be marketed as “fragrance-free” but contain individual fragrances Be careful because I’ve seen products marketed for sensitive skin contain these ingredients and they can cause a lot of damage to your skin

The attached products are some that have really worked for my skin! There was a point in time where literally anything I put on my skin would burn except for Vaseline. To use it, take a pea size amount (or whatever you feel comfortable with as long as it’s in a small amount), warm it up with your fingers and press it gently onto your skin. The other 2 creams are super safe and mild too, hope this helps!

The thing is you can react to anything. It can be that you're allergic to oats or licorice root or even that your skin doesn't like dimethicone. There's always a risk. Even products for atopic skin can make your react. I've had bad reactions to products that are suited sensitive skin but I can put essential oils on my skin. 🤷🏽‍♀️
