Alpha arbutin or Lactic Acid

I'm ready to add a new step to my routine to fight my PIH (it's not bad but I have random spots that need to go) and overall health of my skin. I have been reading a lot about the benefits of lactic acid and alpha arbutin. I like what they promise to do but I'm not sure which is better/which to try. What do you recommend?

lactic acid is an exfoliator and can potentially help reduce dark spots but I wouldn't waste my time trying to use it to fight extensive PIH, so for that I would use alpha arbutin, if you still have active acne I would consider actual retinol if I were you cause it works on both, acne plus PIH

Iโ€™d go with Alpha Arbutin but I personally prefer Tranexamic Acid! Go check these products out, I think they could help you fighting PIH :)

Iโ€™ve heard amazing things about this product - and itโ€™s so reasonably priced! Seems like a great option

Those are two rather different ingredients with different effects. ๐Ÿ™‚ If you don't have any exfoliating product in your routine, you can add lactic acid. Alpha arbutin helps fade PIH. ๐Ÿ˜‰
