Snail mucin false claims (re)

There was a discussion about whether or not snail mucin is good for scars fading and hyperpigmentation but I guess the author deleted it. Snail mucin is mainly an anti-aging ingredient because it's very hydrating. But COSRX lists fading dark spots as the first benefit of their snail mucin essence (https://www.cosrx.com/products/advanced-snail-96-mucin-power-essence ) even though it doesn't contain any brightening ingredients. So I now get where all the hype for it as acne scars fading treatment is coming from but I don't think it's justified. If you're considering getting some product to help with acne scars I can't recommend a snail mucin product because it doesn't help with that in my opinion. It's a good hydrating product though.

yeah definitely!! Cosrx' snail mucin is really good but it isn't the miraculous product that solves everything like the overhype make us believe. It's really good for moisture and that's already GREAT! For hyperpigmentation there's no secret: we have to chose specific ingredients that specifically target that concern.

Exactly 🙂 I love the hydration but it's not a miracle cure 👍

for acne scars, actually there is no skincare that can heal except for treatments such as lasers, why is snail mucin being predicted to be able to make acne scars disappear because its main function is to moisturize, when our skin is well hydrated, the skin looks more plump and healthy, that's why acne scars look better because our skin condition is well hydrated, I'm not talking about hyperpigmentation, more about deep acne scars

i love the snail essence, but I agree with your opinion! Initially, i purchased the snail essence to help with my dark spots.. it didnt really help with it tho. but I love how it moisturises my skin 😊.

All skincare products have fake claims just to sell, it's not limited to this particular one.
