The Ordinary layering

I just recieved three products from The Ordinary and I'm wondering how I should go about layering them. I've read that as a general rule with this brand, you want to layer from thinnest to thickest in consistency. Since one of these products is HA, I was curious if this would also take the place of my moisturizer, or if I would still use one at the end of my routine. Products used daily/weekly: ♤Very basic Cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer, occasionally using a moisturizer with salicylic acid when not using irritating products ♤Alternating between chemical and physical exfoliants as skin sees fit ♤Differin adapalene gel Products purchased: ♤Marine Hyaluronics ♤Niacinamide 10% Zinc 1% serum ♤Granactive Retnoid 2% emulsion Any advice with these products is appreciated!!

I thought u can use marine hyaluronic between niacinamide and retinol serum, if u wanna use all of them . But personally will using them 1 by 1 . Trying the marine first , then niacinamide , and retinol . After that , i’ll layering ha with niacinamide first , continue ha with retinol . And the last layering them together at the same routine .

It still goes thinnest to thickest. And unfortunately, marine hyaluronics can’t be used in place of a moisturizers since they don’t have any emollients or occlusives. Also, since you are already using differin, you don’t really need retinoids.

Thinnest to thickest. Marine > niacinamide > retinol > and yes to moisturizer. The Marine is a water consistency, so it’s runny. But it feels good on the skin nonetheless. 😊

So what I would do is: niacinamide first bc the treatment serums should be used first, then the marine one then the retinoid one. Then an moisturizer. The hyaluronic serum befor dhe retinoid one preps the skin and it will do good against any dehydration bc of the retinoid one. But if your skin is sensitive you can definitely use the hyaluronic one before the niacinamide. Hyaluronic provides hudration but you need a moisturizer to sealnin that hydration.
