Ferulic acid smell??

This is the only Ferulic acid product I’ve ever tried - I couldn’t finish it because the smell was so bad!!! Do all Ferulic acid products have a nasty smell or was it just this one?

Yes, ferulic acid is the reason why Vitamin C serums smell like spam. I rather be smelling canned meat than have brands use lots of fragrance to cover up the scent.

OMG spam 😭 I remember it smelling like burning or like really old coins, I think I’ll just find another anti oxidant 😅

It's the ferulic acid smell so unless perfumed, it will always smell like this. I also have this. I managed to get used to it and I quite enjoy the product, it's rather effective but the smell is not pleasant, so I won't repurchase 😣

Ferulic Acid has a typical smell which is closest of hotdogs. You can notice this in The Ordinary's Resverstrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% serum and Skinceuticals' one.

Yes it kind of smells like crispy bacon, which I agree is not very elegant.
