Applying sleeping masks

Hi, I'm currently using Laneige Water sleeping mask and want to know, how you guys apply it? Do you see these type of masks as creams and apply them the corresponding amount or do you see them as face masks and put big amount of product on your face?

I have the same laneige sleeping mask but the cica one!😍 It's definitely a HG of mine💚 I use it almost every night as a last step, after I apply my moisturizer- but I have very dry skin. You could use it after a moisturizer or in place of one, depending on your skin type/ skin needs- (yes it's a "sleeping mask" but it's basically just a more occlusive moisturizer). You don't need to apply alot😊

I use a sleeping mask on a daily basis, but it's not from Laneige. As far as I know, sleeping mask is used just like our regular creams. The amount of product you want to put on the skin is depending on our skin needs. I myself always use more when I need extra hydration. But it also depends on the suggestion that's written on the packaging, it's better if we follow the instruction carefully for a better result and safety👍

i know it's called a mask, but i just use my laneige water sleeping mask as a regular moisturizer! it's got a lot of occlusive ingredients, so i apply it after a more hydrating moisturizer that contains more emollients/humectants. i don't need to use a lot—maybe around a pea-sized amount each time?—but ymmv!

I have oily skin so I usually only use it like 2-3 days a week, OVER my moisturizer, and I only use a small amount. I have cheek redness and they are a little sensitive so I use the Laneige Cica mask on my cheeks (like half pea size amount) and use the original Laneige on the rest of my face (about pea size). I've also been trying out a new cream (technically it's called a serum in cream) by Tatcha that I really like so far, but it's only been like 2 weeks so can't say for sure yet. I try to make sure I use my sleeping masks on days that I exfoliate to give my skin extra hydration and try to protect the skin barrier. Also, I may use sleeping masks more often if I feel my skin getting irritated or see any irritation, but I still only use a small amount because it doesn't take much to cover my skin well. This is what I do anyway, again as someone with oily skin. However, I am no expert so I could be doing this wrong, but my skin seems to agree with me.

I've tried a mini of this while on a trip and while I loved the moisture this provided the fragrance was a little off-putting. 🫠 You definitely don't need to apply a whole lot or slather on a lot, just use it as you would use a normal moisturizer! I think it would get very uncomfortable during the night if you were to just apply a big layer of it!😊
