Purging: how long? (By Wishtrend Bakuchiol cream)

Hi, how long purging lasts? I'm using Bakuchiol cream from By Wishtrend for almost 2 months now.. and I feel I'm experiencing purging. It appears on my cheeks, jaw and neck. Its not severe. Like 3 huge pimple on left then 2 on the right. And also there's one on chin and there's .. some parts on my neck Here's what I'm using while I'm on bakuchiol cream. Using it twice a week Tues and Fri

And during the purging phase, it's common to experience breakouts or worsening of existing acne in areas where you typically have breakouts. This is because the Bakuchiol cream is increasing cell turnover and bringing underlying impurities to the surface.

Oh thank you. Good to know. But how long will it lasts? Actually before I ask this, I'm planning to stop but now I want to continue to use it. And this product is quite expensive so I want to use it 😅

Purging can last from a few weeks to a few months. You've been using the Bakuchiol cream for almost 2 months and are experiencing some purging. Be patient and continue with your current skincare routine (it seems like you're using a variety of products that focus on soothing, hydrating, and brightening the skin. These are good choices to complement the Bakuchiol cream)

The duration of purging can vary for each individual. It's challenging to predict exactly how long it will last for you. However, on average, purging tends to subside within a few weeks to a couple of months as your skin adjusts to the product, and if the purging is mild and consists of a few pimples, it's normal and part of the skin's adjustment to the product. You can continue using the cream and observe your skin's response.

Purgin can last anywhere from a few weeks to months. Myself I don’t have an issue with the cream and have used it awhile generally every other night. It may also not be purging? Could be hormonal breakouts?

Agreed! I myself have never had an issue with purging either -(not even when I started Adapalene or Tretinoin). I guess we're pretty lucky to have resilient skin huh😊 @skincarenewbie, Also..if you're getting breakouts in places you normally don't get them in- it might not be purging. (Just something to consider). And if it is purging, try to stick it out. I can imagine how annoying it must be, but it'll be so worth it once it calms down/stops. Sorry Im not able to tell you how long it should last, being that everyone's experience is their own, and purging could last longer for some than others. Wish you the best though🧡

I'm using second bottle of this retinal + bakuchiol cream and I didn't experience purging for more than a month. So maybe the pimples aren't caused by the cream. You can try putting the alpha arbutin serum on hold and see if your skin gets better.
