Omg i dont have a number one but all of these are so true! Let me add - stop listening to skincare advice from TikTok and treating it like professional advice. I feel like so many people will only try a product because its viral on TikTok, or they will completely bash a whole brand or some products just because a random tiktoker said it didnt work for them! What matters are the contains and how it works on ourself, stop taking TikTok skincare advice to heart!

Honestly this. A good reviewer won’t bash an entire brand based off of dislike of one product. And random influencers don’t necessarily have product or ingredient education, they’re just stating their opinions.

Washing your hands before washing your face and applying skincare. You don’t want extra bacteria contaminating your skincare products.

I would add do not go overboard with exfoliation and actives. It can do real damage to your skin and skin barrier that takes a long time to repair.

I agree,I used to over exfoliate and my skin got so irritated and then am like its because am over exfoliating.I stopped and went back to normal.

Removing makeup. I kind of think knowing your skintype is a little overrated since skin can act differently depending on season and circumstances but that’s just my opinion 😊

Very true not all skin is the same, and every type of skin has its own requirements. But I believe knowing my skin type can help create a skincare routine that works best for me and keep my skin healthy, hydrated, and looking its best. Thank you 💗

I’d agree - makeup tends to clog my pores or irritate my skin if left too long
My top rules would be remove makeup, wear SPF, and do NOT overexfoliate 😊
