There isn't much you can do wrong when using a toner since they are mostly meant to be hydrating!
Some people say that they work by adjusting the skins pH and prep your skin for the next steps but tbh I call bs... you use a toner right after cleansing and ideally a good cleanser shouldn't change your skins pH too much.
Is a toner necessary? No. Are they fun to use? Yes!
