If nothing is helping your acne, it might also be smart to check out a dermatologist to make sure that it really is fungal acne and not something else…

So just to note: Fungal acne does not look the same on everyone, it can manifest in different ways, it can also present as cyclical for some.
If you make a doctors appointment call it a fungal infection and not acne. Acne is associated with bacteria, this is different.
If it suspected to be FA also known as, Folliculitis, they will most likely prescribe you something like Fluconazole. In addition to a treatment regimen.
People have found success using Head&Shoulders , Nizoral ( cream not shampoo bc it doesn't dry like the shampoo). The helpful ingredient in these is Ketoconazole.
There is a 2% cream sold without a prescription.
Clotrimazol is also sold without a prescription and is found to be helpful for those with FA and other fungal overgrowth symptoms.
Whether it's FA or not, Reinforcing your moisture barrier is super crucial. Products containing urea are worth looking into.
