Benzyl peroxide can be effective but be careful, it's but tolerated well by everyone and it will bleach towels, sheets and clothes just so you are aware. I recommend starting with a BP cleanser a couple times a week. You should be double cleansing also, so after your first cleanse go in with something like the CeraVe BP cream cleanser and once you massage it in and get it a bit "foamed" up let it sit for about 3-5 minutes before rinsing. I find this very effective for my skin that doesn't tolerate BP well.

My brother and I also used this during very bad breakouts.
But I can also suggest to switch your moisturizer if you use any, since my breakouts STOPPED completely after I found by chance a pefect face cream
It is Clinique, it may not work for you but it has a pump which is more hygienic than a tube or a jar. There’s also an oil free version of the same moistures, I SWEAR by this line with my ALL BEING
