Good occlusive cream for acne prone skin?

My daughter has pimples and has a good skin care regiment but I realize when we need is also a good occlusive moisturizer for the end of the routine, something that seals the hydration effect of the products used but it doesn’t have comedogenic ingredients. Is a moisturizer like Cerave okay ? Could you please recommend others? Thanks.

Honestly, occlusion is not very good for acne-prone skin.. I would pick the light texture cream with anti-inflammatory ingredients. It will prevent the moisture loss as well

Thank you for suggestions. I’m a bit confused by the recommendations of using occlusive creams for acne when it’s known that they can clog pores .

you definitely don’t want an occlusive (that would mean vaseline, aquaphor, etc) it will totally trap all of the gunk at the surface of the skin and cause more pimples. i get what you mean though, because moisturizers “lock in” the products underneath, but not the bad stuff. I have dry, acne prone skin that’s responded well to the basic cetaphil moisturizer, but if her skin is oily then the cerave one might be better because it’s lighter
