Some people may experience breakouts with vitamin C skincare due to the ingredient's acidic nature. Vitamin C, especially in its pure form (ascorbic acid), can be irritating for sensitive or reactive skin. It's essential to start with lower concentrations.
Alternatively, consider using vitamin C derivatives like sodium ascorbyl phosphate, which are milder.
For sensitive skin, try
It's a gentle vitamin C serum with a lower concentration, suitable for reactive skin or you can try ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐จ ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐ข๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ & ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฆ suitable for suitable for all skin types and sensitive skin.
Higher concentrations or any pure form of vitamin C cause breakout to me.

I used to think that vitamin c just wasn't for me at the beginning of finding products that didn't flare the eczema I didn't know I had. However, these tagged products have not caused any irritation to my skin. No burning, eczema flares, itchiness, breakouts, nada!

It could also be active ingredient reaction. You arenโt meant to mix it with acid based skincare like AHAโs, BHAโs, PHAโs, or retinoids. You can use them safely in a routine, just trade off the times you use them (most people do vitamin c in the morning and acids at night). I try not to use them on the same day but thatโs because of my extra sensitive skin. I really enjoyed this one by Numbuzin because itโs a lotion based serum, so it was nice and moisturizing. I also used it in combination with an actives free cleanser and a moisturizer without any actives. I also found the Dewytree and Versed serums to also be gentle for me. You could also be in the minority and may not be able to tolerate it at all. Hope this helped.
