Tretinoin Routine + Moisturizer Recommendations?

Currently considering using tretinoin to combat acne but want to make sure I have a solid routine in place first to minimize bad reactions. Would love to hear from any tret users, especially if you have any tips + recommendations for products that helped while using tret (particularly moisturizers!) My skin type is dehydrated/combo/acne prone right now btw. Appreciate the help!

I am not on tret, but while being in the middle of winter and on 2% retinol, i have been heavily enjoying soon jung 2x barrier cream 🥰

I'm on 0.05% tretinoin nightly. I use lots of hydrating toners, a favourite serum or 2, and my favourite moisturizer (after cleansing and all that jazz) Once the moisturizer is COMPLETELY dry, I apply a pea sized amount of tret. If my skin is feeling extra dry, I'll finish up with a moisturizing sleeping mask. And keep in mind I have oily/resilient acne prone skin. Prescription tretinoin is not to be messed with.

My derm gave me tretinoin but it felt nothing and did nothing to me. So I stopped using it. For product recommendation, I have an oily skin but I enjoy these moisturizers below. Maybe you can check them out 😉

Mind that Tretinoin is just for temporary usage. Max of 3mos. Upon using it, always use mosturizer sunblock/sunscreen to avoid burns and redness.
