I’d follow whatever the instructions say on the box bc they know how their product will work best. For example, some cleansers work best when applied to dry skin, while others may need water to work but time wise I’d consult the box it came in or the website to see what time they recommend cleansing.

Usually no more than 1 minite. Rubbing with oil longer may damage skin barrier

That's too long. Cleansing your face for too long would just lead to more irritation, dryness, damaging the skin barrier and if done too aggressively, could risk breaking small blood capillaries under your skin, causing spider veins on your face. I think minimum 1 minute and at most 5 minutes is good enough.

Massaging with a cleansing oil for 8 to 10 minute can indeed help get rid of sebaceous filaments and help get a clearer complexion BUT you do that once a month or once every 2 months..
Skin1004 cleansing oil worked super well for that.
