Rice ferment filtrate (sake) halal?

Hi everyone ✨. I've been wondering for a while about this ingredient. As a muslim, it concerns me. Rice ferment filtrate (sake) halal to use? I've been searching about it and as I knew, if it undergo proprietary fermentation process by manufacturer themselves, it is halal to use as it is not from sake production. And if it is from sake production process by brewers, it's not allowed for muslim to use it. However, i can't reach the company to get a CLEAR statement about this matter. So I'm hesitant to use these as they contain rice ferment filtrate ( sake).

I won't use it to be safe. I accidentally bought a sheet mask once containing sake so I just sold it to my friend

Sake is not halal. You are correct in your understanding of the production process. Therefore, if it's clearly written in the ingredients list as sake or rice ferment filtrate (sake), then it is not permissible to use. If the brand did not state it in the ingredients list, ask them directly. If they say the rice ferment filtrate is not produced in the same way as sake, then it is permissible to use. As for the Papa Recipe powder cleanser and blemish toner, both has rice ferment filtrate (sake) listed in their ingredients list, so Muslims shouldn't use it. I found the full ingredients list for the cleanser on Olive Young Global but had to look through Shopee feedbacks to find the ingredients list for the toner šŸ˜…

As a muslim, we are strongly encouraged to never come near to anything associated with alcohol ESPECIALLY when it is made obvious to the eyes. When an ingredient has labels such as sake(exclusion for cosmetic grade alcohol since this topic has a wider discussion to it), we should avoid it at all cost since there are SOO much other alternatives made available to us as modern day consumers. Plus, think about this, even if you dont ingest it orally, anything on your skin will be absorbed eventually into the bloodstream.. so if we are those who wants to preserved our faith, we must abandon everything that lies within the grey area. If you have mistakenly own it, try to give it away to non-muslims. Surely they will be more than happy since products with rice based invgredients have a great reputation plastered to it thanks to SK11
