Toner or Retinol

Hi! I wanna know what do you think our face needed the most in the choices above aside from suncreen, cleanser, and moisturizer. Because I'm planning to add it to my skincare routine. I accept any recommendations and tips that you think the best for me as a beginner.

Retinol is more critical for me. I don't always use toner, so it's an easy choice for me.

I think Retinol more important. If you don’t think your skin need toner, you can just skip it :)

How old are you and what's your skin concern? Toners and retinoids are two totally different types of products that target different concerns

@aremlyf, if you don't have major concerns such as acne, retinoids aren't needed yet for your age. To have a clear and healthy skin, follow a simple routine with exfoliation 2 weekly, hydrating toner, a good moisturizer, sunscreen, and double cleansing in the evening routine- this should be enough.

I think you should do both! The toner is going to create a base layer of hydration so that your retinol would work more effectively. Before you apply retinol, make sure the toner absorbs into the skin so it doesn’t cause irritations.
