Hm what oil cleanser are you using? I use the Anua oil cleanser and the some by mi aha bha pha pads and I’ve experienced no purging. With oil cleanser I rub it in on my dry face, then add water, rub that in, rinse off, clean my face with my water-based cleanser really good, and then use my toner pads. The only times I’ve had white heads around my nose or areas I didn’t wash the oil cleanser off good enough.

Purging is of a result of active ingredients such as the acids within the BHA and AHA families plus more. The purge is in the usual highly reactive regions of your own face (that have also been exposed to the chemical exfoliant). I haven’t used an oil cleanser alongside a BHA, and in general an oil cleanser should be fine with any chemical exfoliant; it goes without saying if the oil cleanser is the new product it could be the culprit. But a regular breakout won’t worsen with the use of the BHA. It’d help meanwhile a purge is when the releasing the gunk beneath the surface from the pores get released faster onto the surface on the skin.

You can use it, but I recommend you to use for double cleansing and only at nighttime !!

Are you making sure to emulsify the oil cleanser first instead of just going in with cleanser? A few people I know made this mistake when first starting to oil cleanse and caused breakouts
