Medicube - august.serenade review for Red Erasing Cream

💚 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗨𝗘 I decided to buy this product when I was searching for a cream to calm down my inflammation and redness. When I said inflammation, guys.. my face has a few big red patches that swollen and accompanies with tiny red patches that feel itchy through out the day. This was a result of my skin reacting to strong skincare products previously, but that’s another story. 💚 𝗠𝗬 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 ✍🏼 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 • I use this both in my AM and PM routine everyday, after moisturiser and before sunscreen. This review is based on my 3rd night using it. • I didn’t put sunscreen on top of this cream, I’m afraid the inflammation will get worst if too many layered products. Mostly I work from home during lockdown so I maintain this routine for now. I didn’t manage to see how it sit with full make up on yet. ✍🏼 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙧/ 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙚 • Mine came in a 50ml tube and has small extended tip opening. I got mine from local shop (Guardian) on discounted price of RM80+ (USD20+). ✍🏼 𝙏𝙚𝙭𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚/ 𝙎𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩 • The cream is white, thicker consistency with a paste like texture. • It has a “peculiar” scent.. at first I can’t put my finger on it, then, it hits me.. it smells like a spoiled milk, you know when you thought the milk in your fridge is still good and when you open it, suddenly the odour comes out, the milk has turned sour and spoiled, that’s the smell. But the scent dissipates with time and once applied on my face I didn’t notice it anymore. ✍🏼 𝘽𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚/ 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙝 • It takes a bit work to blend it on my face because of the paste like texture. It leaves a white cast and a tad too drying on my skin afterward. ✍🏼 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙩 • Beside all the not so good experience, it does wonder the next morning! I woke up with no more visible white cast, not sure if it rubs on my pillow or it’s fully absorb though. My skin is quite dry, but I can see that it calmed down my inflammation, like a lot, my red spot has turned to pinkish colour. The swollen was still there but the redness was not anymore. This was only the first night result. • After 3 days of usage, both morning and night, I can see that my inflammation has come down a lot and surely it starting to heal. 💚 𝗘𝗣𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗨𝗘 • I’m still using this but after I saw the drying effect, I don’t use it on my entire face, but as a spot treatment, I only put it on my inflammation spots. ✍🏼 𝙎𝙤.. • This definitely my HG in treating inflammation and any redness on my face. Such a saviour for my sensitive skin!
