After a lot of research about Azelaic acid I landed my choice to this emulsion from Naturium and I’m glad that I did. First use wasn’t very pleasant, which is expected because it gave me itch, though it went away after couple minutes, I really don’t like that feeling. I started really slow, just once a week for the first three weeks. I soon find out sandwich method helps with the itch, yeah…like “why didn’t you think about it?” to myself lol, but instead of using thick/heavy moisturizer I use aloe gel before the emulsion then go with lightweight moisturizer after. In the summer, I mostly skip my moisturizer and the emulsion would be my last step in the routine before sunscreen.
I didn’t feel the itch as much on the third week then I proceeded to twice a week usage. It went real smooth after that, I ended up using this three times a week which I feel was sufficient at the time though the goal is to use it daily, I find myself happy with 3-4 times a week.
The RESULTS come steadily slow, well I didn’t use it daily, plus I’m patient enough with my routine, quite discipline with it too 🤪 I noticed less breakouts, even if I have one or two they didn’t stay long, I would say I see the brightening effect slowly emerged.
INGREDIENTS wise, I think you’ll like their ingredients list. Formulated beautifully with 10% Azelaic acid, bio-retinol(sourced from Bidens pilosa, reminds me of the president lol) Niacinamide, sugar cane derived squalane and calming oat. For $22 a bottle, this isn’t bad at all.
