I’m an old school lover of @philosophy body care products, but never tried any of their skincare, so i was looking forward to trying this Purity One Step Facial Cleanser.
A creamy/gel texture that foams up a bit when massaged onto your skin with water.
Now, personally I use this as a 2nd cleanse, or am cleanser, but it does do a good job at removing makeup, designed to work as a 1 step cleanser so you don’t need to double cleanse. For me it’s a personal preference, I enjoy using an oil or balm cleanser
This does have meadowfoam seed oil to help remove makeup, sunscreen, and keep pores clean.
It also has very earthy, spa like scent to it. The scent comes from several extracts and EO’s like sandalwood oil, geranium oil, rosewood oil, linalool, damask rose, etc. so if you do not like fragrance in your skincare avoid this one.
While it’s not drying per se it also isn’t nourishing. It sort of sits right there on the line in my opinion.
Not a bad cleanser, however not one I would repurchase given all the options on the market. I don’t hate it, but I really don’t understand why so many love it 🤷🏻♀️. If you like the fragrance I can see that being a draw I guess?
