Enlarged Pores

There is so much info on the internet about enlarged pores. Products that can effectively reduce the size, help to disguise them. What I want to know is do you think these products actually work? Have you tried something yourself and have seen visible results. Do you have any before & after shots? Share your thoughts lovelies! 😍

Maybe this tip from funskincare on IG will help you ⬇️ I find that it does work, though I don't have any before and after close up photos of my face. https://www.instagram.com/p/CNwDlFhngUg/?igshid=13gedrkfj2kf0

So when I had this "problem" i used a lot of "pore refiner" products but actually what worked (and is still working) the best for my skin was simply hyaluronic acid. Since it plumps my skin, it gets rid of visible pores.

Oh wow!! I’m so pleased that this has worked for you. Do you just use a hyaluronic acid serum morning and night and that’s it?

I have enlarged pores problem since I past teenage years and I suffered a lot from this problem. In Jan 2021, I came across a local drug store brand named Dr Dermis, this brand is targeted for sensitive skin and the salesperson introduced me to try their Mandelic acid serum which according to her is targeted for sensitive skin people who wants to try incorporate acid into their routine. My enlarged pores problem has been with me for so many years and non of the products I tried gave me any wow result, so for this mandelic acid I bought it and did not have any expectation. I consistently use it during my night routine, and around end of March 2021, one day I check on my face in a closer distant and wow I can see the blackheads whiteheads reduced a lot and the enlarged pores is SO MUCH less visible! Due to not having any expectation I did not take any before photo 😅 But I really do believe if you can find a suitable acid for your skin type, persistent is the key, the visibility of enlarged pores is NOT irreversible! :) FYI, I also am using niacinamide at the same time, which I believe plays an important role in reducing my enlarged pores visibility!

Oooh this sounds so promising! First of all, I’m so happy for you that you’ve found something that works!! Thank you for your recommendations! I’m definitely going to check these out. With niacinamide, I’ve only tried The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + zinc 1% and my skin did not like it at all. Overnight I developed loads of breakouts. I tried it on several ocassions in case it was just a one off, but sadly it happened every time. So I’m on the hunt for another product containing niacinamide.

The infographic above is super informative! For me, adding an oil based cleanser and tretinoin has really helped the pores on my nose look smaller. There is visibly less blackheads now ☺️

I won this one from a picky giveaway! I’m not sure how it ranks amongst other oil cleansers, but I’m really enjoying it so far.
