In a video he posted it said that they would give 1% of their profits to environmental causes. I think it’s pretty tacky that he named it “Selfless” when they’re donating such a small amount. he’s making millions of dollars a year off YouTube ads and affiliate links, he could absolutely afford to give 100% of profits to charity, only then would a name as dramatic as “SELFLESS” be appropriate.

I said that in different topic about him - he's a self-called skincare specialist, he has no training and when I saw people using Nizoral on face because they saw Hyrams video I was shocked - there are better treatments for Malassezia than Nizoral, also majority of people who think they have fungal acne - they usually have other skin problems, not Malassezia. That's why I'm not a fan of him. I haven't seen launch video, but I'll check it. In general, many brands are bit sharing such information - even huge brands aka clients at the agency I work for, sometimes it's hard for us to get information on recycling and other stuff and it's sad since customers nowadays are well informed about everything.

I believe they could, professional training doesn't always equal professional training. Some brands are more likely to hire people with better sales skills than knowledge on the topic (and then you end up with too dark foundation or you get advice to do derma roller with the ordinary aha bha peel - I'm not joking, people are doing that). We are not the ones to judge Hyram, but it would be better if he would disclose it more clearly that it was his job title, since it might cause many misunderstandings - I swear, I should write about drama in Poland with self-proclaimed esthetician who literally has no education and how beauty brands had to create together an official statement. Anyway, still going back to Hyram - there are things that would look better if they were disclosed, there are some tips that shouldn't be shared with public for everyone's health

Honestly I don't know him. I know he's kinda famous on YT/IG. if people are excited about his launch good for them but I think it's a cash grab like most of the recent colabs/launches..

Someone posted this article on Reddit which talks about The Inkey List.

According to this article, TIL is like fast fashion, which is far away from being sustainable. I don’t think I can support them or this brand as it seems phony

yeah theyre definitely bad for the environment because they can't sustainably source their ingredients since they're at such low costs. and they don't have 100% recycled packaging.

he should have launch a brand without being so dramatic about the environment and about being “selfless”
I would have support it 100% if he would have not made all those claims. he wants to be so different but he is not doing it right
