acne prone combo skin

I have acne prone combo skin and I’m wondering what the better choice for a cleanser would be? An acne cleanser or a clarifying cleanser. What exactly is the difference between the two? I was using Tula acne foaming cleanser and my skin looked great but I ruined my moisture barrier and switched to a gentle Cleanser and now my skin has been breaking out like crazy. I am on track and healing now so I’m ready to jump back In but I’m wondering if alternating a clarifying cleanser with a gentle cleanser would be better than an acne cleanser?

acne cleanser maybe good but sometimes its dried out my skin..so i apply hydrating toner follow by moisturiser that contains ceramide to repair the skin barrier

which products do you use ? I started using the glow recipe avocado serum
