Thoughts on moisturizers with sunscreen

I heard you have to separate the two because putting moisturizer with sunscreen would mean having to put a lot of moisturizer to cover that SPF coverage But there are known brands like differin and cetaphil who has them and shouldn’t they know better? So I guess we can use them?¿ what is your moistuizer with sunscreen brand, if you ever use it? And do you think it’s enough spf coverage??

Agree with @BlueNWhite, also it's really important that we protect ourselves with *broad spectrum* SPF so that way we are protected from UVA/UVB. Dedicated sunscreens will do; moisturizers with just some SPF probably won't since that isn't their primary purpose. Also, there are a lot of really great Korean and Japanese I believe sunscreens with amazing moisturizing properties so that you don't need a separate moisturizer (which might be especially good for you as a member of #TeamOily)! :)

I actually love my Cerave AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion. Helped a lot with my damaged skin barrier and worked well without irritating my skin.

I prefer a sunscreen separate from moisturizer. I'm afraid if I reapplied moisturizer cum sunscreen every 2 hours, my face would feel sticky as I live on a sunny tropical island 🏝️

If you apply the right amount, you should be fine. But with the moisturisers with spf that I have tried, they dont feel good on the skin applied in the right amount, and reapplied during the day. Therefore I would go with a separate spf as the ones before me have said.

I tried Neutrogena, Nivea and Ziaja moisturisers with SPF when I started a skincare routine. I now like moisturiser and sunscreen separately, but I still think they are a good option for cloudy days or when you stay mostly inside. On the other hand, one should understand its limitations, like reapplication. 😉
