Do you consider toners necessary in a skincare routine?

A toner surely isn't the first product a derm would reccomend to you of you were to begin your skincare journey right now, but I feel like once you try them, and you see the results, you can't go back to not using one. They've different purposes, like they can exfoliate, hydrate deeper, give you glass skin, soothe, and so on. Right now I have more toners in my collection than any other type of product. As an oily skin person, I find layering 2-3 toners, and using only sunscreen in the morning is the best morning routine I could have ever build for my self. Have you tried this method? What are your favorite toners?

i have dry and aging skin so no toners = insufficient hydration for me. I've tried it and I just end up looking persistently gray.

yes! Toners are so good for added hydration, without piling up moisturizer. ☺️

For me, finding the right toner is the key. Having oily skin, I actually use only hydrating essence and spf in the morning. I didn't commit to any toner before I found my holy grail toner.

I think it depends on the person. I prefer actives to be in a liquid formula so I like them.

I have oily skin too and I definitely apply a generous amount of toner on my skin first before serums, moisturizer, sunscreen. I feel that once I applied toner, my skin absorbs the serums/moisturizer better afterward

Yes, totally agree on this one. It preps the skin for other products that come after it.
