The Ordinary - Retinol 0.2% in Squalene

Have any of you used this product and experienced that the product worked in a good way? If not, what can you suggest as an alternative? And am I the only one who noticed that it smells a bit bad and is too oily?

I found that this product didn’t do much for my skin. I’m using this retinol now and it’s much better

Retinol serums usually come in the form of an oil. If you're not a fan of that I suggest looking for a cream 😉 I was very happy with these (as an acne treatment): Revolution 0.1% retinol cream and By Wishtrend 0.03% retinal cream (that's stronger than the retinol you're using). Also what result are you expecting? If it's acne treatment then anything with 0.1% retinol and above worked well for me. If it's a wrinkle treatment, I think you'd have to try something stronger to see some results.

Yes it's definitely oily because it contains squalane. It was my first retinol product and throughout using it I didn't experience any irritation. So it should be great for beginners. The only downside to it is that it has a short lifespan and needs to be refrigerated. The PAO is only 3 months. So unless you use it daily and also use it on other parts of your body, you likely won't be able to finish it up in time

it’s way too oily I didn’t like it because you don’t use oils till after your moisturizer which makes a retinol oil the complete wrong step it a retinol should always come BEFORE moisturizer
