I have been having serious trouble with my hair 🥺🥹. The breakage is beyond me right now, even after using leave-in conditioner, oil and cream before combing same results. It is painful while I comb, I loose lots of hair 😭. It’s not growing too, front hair is not growing. Help!!! Tips!!! Anything!!!

First and foremost if you don’t have a silk or satin pillow case, get one. Cotton ones can lead to more breakage than a satin one. Switch to satin hair ties if possible too since traditional hair bands can pull out more strands of hair. It’ll be a looser ponytail, but your hair won’t break as easily. Oh and use a protective hair style for bed (something as simple as one or two braids). This should prevent your hair from tangling as badly. It’s something I found to be helpful when my hair got extremely long (to my waist) because I got tangled quite often if I slept with it down because I toss and turn so much in my sleep. Do you dye your hair? Bc that often results in breakage if you do it too frequently or do at home dye treatments and accidentally mix the wrong ingredients. That will also mean different advice from what I’m giving. Another option is to try conditioner only routine referred to as ‘co-washing’. Skip the shampoo altogether to help seal in the moisture and only ‘wash’ with conditioner. A lot of people who do this will use a cleansing shampoo about once a month to get rid of product build up. I only shampoo my scalp and condition from the ear down since that’s what works for me. I also don’t wash my hair every day which prevents the shedding from being as excessive. It could be genetics or you may be sick. Sometimes hair falls out as a result of something wrong internally (so ask your dr to run basic labs with a blood draw perhaps), or it could be from stress or a new medication. Some of my favorite hair treatments currently are from K18, but I know not everyone can afford it. This is my favorite hair mask currently that is half the price of K18 and you need very little product so the tub will last forever (for reference I have thick and long hair, so finding a conditioner mask I need very little of was a hard find!). https://www.ulta.com/p/food-soft-rich-hydrating-treatment-mask-pimprod2038911?sku=2609297 The other option is using a wide tooth come instead of a hairbrush, and using one in the shower to help work the conditioner into your hair. I got both of these wide toothed combs at the dollar store. And remember hair shedding is normal to an extent. Healthy people lose about 50-100 strands per day. It goes up whenever we wash it, which is why I don’t wash my hair quite as often. Plus it allows for your natural hair oils to work into your hair when you do comb it out. If you do cut back on washing like me, I still apply the hair oil daily when I comb it out. I wash my hair about twice a week, but still apply the hair oil on off days to combat the tangles. Sorry for the wall of text! I hope something in here was some new advice or things you may not have thought of. ❤️

I use supplements.... biotin, collagen and saw palmetto. Healthy starting on the inside is always good. I use Dash shampoo and serum, as well as a good scalp scrub. These are a good place to start in addition to other great ideas I see from other pickies.
