You can’t always be sure that with smaller indie brands whether the formulation actually works or if it has the active ingredient in it but it isn’t formulated properly. This formula is also fragrance free.

hi! since you are a beginner with dry skin, i recommend using the ones with 0.2-0.5% retinol from the ordinary (squalane oil help moistuize), or inkey list. make sure you use hydrating and soothing ingredients like niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, ceramide and polyglutamic acid because retinol can be drying :)
