Best Serums to Use When Using Tretinoin

I have been on my tretinoin journey for over 2 months at the moment. I’ve been very careful to not over complicate my skin care routine and to only use simple and hydrating cleansers and moisturizers (and of course physical sunscreen during the day). From my observations, my skin has made great progress since I have started. It is certainly not perfect and I still have a long way to go, but by far it has improved which I’m quite proud of. I would like to give more to my skin by including some serums that will help with hydration and hyper pigmentation, but I’m not sure what products to use. I’m also not sure how and when I should integrate the serum/s into my routine. Would it be better to apply them at night or in the morning? If at night, should I apply them before or after my tretinoin treatment? etc., I have also bought some serums that I didn’t get to use yet and I was wondering if some of them would go well if I incorporate them into my routine, but I am also open to other suggestions:)) I will attach the serums here. Does anyone have any serum recommendations and helpful tips in how I should apply the serum into my routine?

I’ve been on tret for years and love pairing it with azelaic acid. I apply tret first then AzA (Paula’s Choice or Isispharma). Currently using custom formula of tret + AzA + tranexamic acid + niacinamide. Working well! I usually apply hydrating serums before tret. I use anything really but my favorites are The Ordinary Argireline and Estee Lauder ANR.

For hydration you could use some hyaluronic acid, like the one from the ordinary. Serums are best to apply at night because then they have the most time to absorb into the skin. The serums that you already have don't seem to be bad in combo with tret, but I would be careful with tea tree oil, because that can dry the skin out, which your treatment already does.

I read that snail mucin contains glycolic acid which shouldn't be used with retinol. Therefore, you could the Benton & Cosrx essence when you don't use retinol.

When I introduced Retinol to my routine, I kept my routine simple. Cleanser Moisturizer Retinol Moisturizer Now, it's as follows. Serum & Retinol are of similar consistency. Cleanser Retinol Serum Moisturizer
